He did the right thing. Adding extra water to pretty much any beverage makes it a disgusting concoction, that not even a desperate, filthy hobo would willingly drink.
@rudi, @DSQ. Everyone knows that when ice melts, it releases Dihydrogen Monoxide, which when inhaled can kill. Over 3,500 deaths in the USA each year a caused by Dihydrogen Monoxide inhalation. So, it is vitally important to refrain from using ice in drinks.
Far from it to tell someone how to draw their comic, but I feel this one missed an opportunity to be ever so slightly funnier if you didn’t see BuniDad’s hands in the third and fourth panels. Just the umbrella popping open. Because without the context of the hands, it would look like a full-sized umbrella, and the casual reader would be inclined to believe that he was opening a full-sized umbrella to cover all of him. But then the final panel would reveal it’s a tiny cocktail umbrella, and everyone would be all “OooooooOOOOOhhhh!” and then there would be much laughter because the conclusion is humorously contradictory to the expected outcome.
But then we know BuniDad is unpredictable anyway, so it might have been even funnier if it actually WAS a full-sized umbrella, and everyone would have been “Whooooooa!” and even more laughter would be had, because once again the expectation would not be met, and the sudden epiphany of the last panel would startle us into mirth.
But since I don’t write comics, none of this really matters.

So that’s what mini umbrellas are used for. Huh.
TOP
He needs a cocktail umbrella for his cigarette too!
@DSQ
Did you note the ice cubes? Ice is frozen water. When it melts it becomes water again
them ice cubes are already diluting it though~

They are most likely reusable “ice” cubes.

Good idea, Elsol. Thanks.
Maybe those were booze cubes, you know, frozen with liquid nitrogen.
maybe it was dry ice, some people package food w/ it, so it probably wouldn’t poison the drink. Not a a chem major or anything tho
