Sure he has won today’s battle, but what about tomorrows toothpaste? Will he surrender another potential toothbrushing, or struggle against the inevitable emptiness of the tube, and of himself?
Most people think that toothpaste tubes are just flexible containers with the mouth-bone polish stored inside but realistically there’s a stack of reagents that when pressure is applied creates toothpaste. Conveniently the harder you squeeze the more efficient the reaction is. When the tube is new there’s plenty of reagent available so you can get what you need with gentle squeezes but the more of the reagent is used the harder you have to squeeze.
That said if a tube of toothpaste could be made in such a way to prevent spaghettification and launched into a blackhole it would be the end of the universe.
This is all the exercise Buni will get this week.
