This cartoon reminds me of the Monty Python sketch “The Funniest Joke in the World.” It’s about a joke that a writer came up with that’s so funny, anyone who reads it or hears it laughs so hard that they die from laughter.
The writer was found dead slumped over in his room, still clutching the piece of paper which held the joke. Anyone who investigated the writer’s death would die soon after reading the joke, and after so many deaths it was realized that reading it was lethal.
So they turned the joke into a weapon of war by having different translators translate one word at a time into the enemy’s language. In World War II, the British forces used the joke to their advantage to utterly slay the oncoming German troops.
Cuteness overload!

One of my favorite Monty Python sketches!
