Seems to me this could be commentary on people so addicted to their computers that they experience withdrawal symptoms when more than a foot away from it, with the warmth-squiggles rising from the device representing the emotional comfort of Buni getting a little of the hair of the dog that bit him.
OR, this is the beginning of a story arc that’s sponsored by Apple as an advertisement for the new MacBook Air, so powerful yet so efficient that it doesn’t even HAVE a fan. (I think. Seems that I read that somewhere.) I guess we’ll know in a little bit, if Buni goes to the Aple Stoor, (sie whut ei dyd thare?) and buys a replacement for his old laptop. If I’m right, then… subtle.
I could, of course, be reading too much into this. I do that from time to time. This could just be, “laptops be warm, huh?” They did use that in an episode of House, as I recall… the one with Death Cat. Why am I still typing? It is a good question. Okay, I’ll stop now.
