Buni

This is my first attempt at animating Buni. Enjoy.

Some of you may have recognized the comic that it’s based on which ran last month. I hope to continue experimenting with animation. But even the crude flip-book style I’m using takes several hours. I was only able to make this because I recently had to spend all day on jury duty and started playing around while I waited in the courthouse.

On a side note, I learned to play the ukulele for this short. Buni seems like a ukulele kind of guy, a slightly out-of-tune ukulele.

I’m launching a project to see how many places Buni can visit over the next couple of weeks.

All you need to do is click here for an image of Buni, print it out, and take a photo of Buni wherever you live.

You can take photos of him next to buildings, street scenes, your house, your cat, piñatas, your grandmother, yourself, something sad, something happy …whatever you want. I will post as many photos as I can here on my site.
