Genetics must be pretty crazy. Each parent have the genes for both halves of their nature. (e.g. Mother has both ‘fish top’, ‘fish bottom’ ‘bear top’ and presumably ‘bear bottom’). It’s not so much a matter of genes being dominant or recessive, as all the genes get thrown into a hat and you pull two out.
