…that damn butterfly…always turns up just in time to cheer Buni up when he’s in the worst way…this time he’s not as lucky as usual…
…BTW, I love the alternate ending, Buni Dog is just about the coolest mutt ever…I also thought it’d be a nice touch if the butterfly in the last panel of this version had a little broken heart above him as Buni did…
…heheh, surprise final panel idea…street level, Buni hugs the Dog as the firefighters put away the rescue net after catching him…

Buni accidently suicides off the cliff….
and, as we all expect, he reawakens healthy in his bed and forgets about the whole thing
